Mini Retro Review: Undefeatable (1993) #badmovies

Undefeatable
1993
Action/Martial Arts

The acting in this movie is so bad, it's laughable almost and being a Godfrey Ho movie, it has that cheap look going for it as well. Ho's Western pseudonym in this flick is Godfrey Hall. The bad guy rapes & kills Rothrock's characters' sister and after that, he eats a steak for dinner. Rothrock teams up with a fellow cop to avenge her death. Cynthia Rothrock once said that some of her co-stars had difficulty remembering their lines, and watching their performances, it shows. Nonsensical plot, plus wooden and bad performances that are also lacking in range one has to suspend their disbelief for. Yet it's almost hard not to laugh when it is being serious when it also comes across as being unintentionally amusing. This is so hokey & is one of the worst martial arts-based action flicks I've seen with some below par martial arts fight scenes that it was redubbed into Chinese and featured a second plot with Mortal Kombat's Robin Shou. Unlike the title, this slasher-esque film is defeatable and good to laugh along at. Just be ready to have the drinks on hand for this one.

Is It Worth Watching?

Kind of, yes as a guilty pleasure
